MARY J BLIGE'S MIDNIGHT FEASTMonday July 21,2008 MOST of us admit to raiding the kitchen for a midnight snack from time to time but R&B singer Mary J Blige used her diva status to take the art of late-night nibbling to another level. The 37-year-old is a big fan of celebrity chef Aldo Zilli’s banoffee pie and always visits his restaurant Zilli Fish in London’s Soho to sample her favourite dessert whenever she’s in the capital.
At midnight last Thursday, Mary J and her husband, music mogul Kendu Isaacs, had a sudden craving for the biscuit and caramel-based banana pie and asked that the restaurant open up especially for the occasion. The manager reports: “They sat in the darkness, sharing a banoffee pie by candlelight.” |
