Each holiday week includes a free day and a chance for families to explore the local area.

Alternatively, the kids might enjoy doing their own thing this summer at a Superweek summer camp, making new
friends and trying out new games and activities.

Anthony Chesher, assistant holiday director with the Active Training & Education Trust which organises the Superweeks, said: “The UK is starting to catch on to thesummer camp culture that is well-established in America, and youngsters are seeing the benefits.”

Superweeks are available for children aged between eight and 16, and take place at seven different centres.
