POSH: I'D LIVE IN A COUNCIL FLAT

VICTORIA Beckham last night proved the old adage that the grass is always greener on the other side – by admitting she’d be happy living in a council flat.

Despite having millions in the bank, Beckingham Palace and other properties, Posh Spice has claimed that she could quite happily swap her life for something more mundane – as long as she had David by her side.

“Sometimes I see a couple who have just finished work, sitting in their car and she has got her Barclays Bank badge on and he has got his Dixons badge on and they are going home for dinner,” said the 33-year-old mother-of-three.

“Sometimes that looks so nice to me, but we all want something we don’t have.”

Declaring her love for her husband, she added in an interview with OK! magazine: “I would rather live in a council flat with David than in Beckingham Palace without him.”

Her thoughts may well be echoed by the football star, who has declared in the past that “I would have liked Victoria even if she worked in Tesco.”

Her comments come as the couple prepare to settle into their new £11m Californian mansion, ahead of David’s £125m transfer to the LA Galaxy next month.

And they left some critics wondering whether the singer, about to star in her own reality show, was trying to ingratiate herself with a new American fanbase.

“I hope they like my show. I hope they like me. But if they don’t, I’m not going to lose any sleep over it,” she added.
Already boasting A-list celebrity friends such as Tom Cruise, his wife, Katie Holmes and Jennifer Lopez, Mrs Beckham took the opportunity to even things out yesterday – by having lunch with a former bricklayer.

The brickie in question, however, was none other than Jennifer Aniston’s new boyfriend, Paul Sculfor.

And, far from representing the working man, the 36-year-old Essex lad long ago discarded his trowel to fashion himself a successful modelling career.

Victoria Beckham’s spokesman confirmed that Mr Sculfor once dated Victoria’s friend, 34-year-old make-
up artist Maria-Louise Featherstone, when they were growing up in Essex.

Is that consolation for the poor people? Saying and doing it are two different things Victoria. But then again, you have gone from rags to riches. I still don't think you would be able to go back now. Can't see all your friends from the council estate going shopping to America with you on a private jet some how.
