UK NEWSCOUPLE MURDER PROBE: MAN SECTIONEDSunday June 3 2007 by The bodies of Dennis White, 61, and Maria White, 49, were discovered at a mid-terrace house in Belvoir Avenue, Levenshulme, Manchester, on Friday.A 42-year-old man who handed himself in to police after a couple were found bludgeoned to death at their home has been sectioned. Post-mortem examinations showed the victims died from head injuries caused by a blunt heavy instrument. Greater Manchester Police have been given more time to continue questioning a 36-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy, both from Levenshulme, arrested nearby soon after the bodies were found. A police spokeswoman said: "A 42-year-old man, who was arrested after a couple were found murdered at their home in Levenshulme, has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. "Detectives continue to question a 36-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy about the incident after being granted warrants for further detention. "Home Office post-mortem examinations carried out yesterday evening and this afternoon showed that both victims had died as a result of a head trauma caused by a blunt heavy instrument." Detectives are treating the murders as domestic-related and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the inquiry.
