MRS OSBOURNE HITS BELOW THE BELT IN X RATED ATTACK ON LOOS

Wednesday May 31,2006

CELEBRITY X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne declared war on contestant Rebecca Loos – and her scathing attack will no doubt delight her close friend Victoria Beckham.

She told Miss Loos: "You should try doing tomorrow night's show with your knickers on. It will help warm up your voice."

Fellow judge Simon Cowell, known for his acid tongue, suggested his co-star pull back. But rocker Ozzy's wife, 53, continued: "There is a very bad vibe coming from you, Missy."

Miss Loos, 27, who hit the headlines in 2004 after spilling the details of a summer fling with David Beckham, had performed Robert Palmer's Addicted To Love with Princess Diana kiss-and-teller James Hewitt.

Mrs Osbourne added: "Great song – highly appropriate. You two are well suited to each other." She also told Hewitt: "You were in the Army? With that performance you should be shot."

The Osbournes are old friends of the Beckhams and were guests of honour at last week's pre-World Cup bash at Beckingham Palace in Hertfordshire.

Mrs Osbourne's attack was backed yesterday by magician Paul Daniels, who, along with wife Debbie McGee, was first to be voted off the show.

He said: "Sharon was being honest and coming out with comments that a lot of people are really thinking. I'm always just surprised Rebecca doesn't expect that kind of stuff. I would think if that's your kind of chosen way of life, then a girl would realise at some point someone's going to slap you in the face with a kipper."

Last night Mrs Osbourne refused to apologise, saying: "Hewitt and Loos are the X Factor contestants from hell and I still don't understand what they are doing on the show." DJ Chris Moyles is favourite to win The X Factor: Battle Of The Stars which is on ITV1 for the next week.
