Elemis' Body Sculpting Cellulite and Colon Therapy

WHAT DOES IT PROMISE? The treatment claims to tone up your body, while also helping to improve the movement of the lymphatic system, ridding you of waste and toxins. It promises your cellulite will be reduced while your skin should feel smoother and silkier.

WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE? My session began with the Elemis trademark relaxing foot massage. I was then covered in a towel, while the therapist brushed my body heartily with a stiff brush to increase my circulation. Next a specialised Body Sculpting Lipo-Refining Serum was massaged over my legs, thighs and hips. The therapist particularly pounded my problem areaso encourage the fat cells to break down. After the massage, a peel off body mask containing fennel was rubbed over my legs in a bid to firm the skin. Slightly less enjoyable was an uncomfortable abdominal massage designed to speed up my digestive system. The treatment finished up with a soothing scalp massage, then the body mask was removed and Elemis Body Sculpting Firming Cream was rubbed into my legs. When the session was finished, I was impressed that my therapist then wrote me out a prescription of products to use to maintain her hard work, which gave the treatment a personalised touch.

HOW MUCH? Between £40-£90

HOW LONG? 60 minutes

VERDICT? The skin on my legs was left in great condition - it felt soft, supple and much firmer after the treatment, and my trousers were definitely a little looser when I put them back on. It also made me feel lighter on my feet and invigorated for the rest of the day. It's not a miracle worker, but it's definitely a real treat.
