NO LET UP FROM HAMILTON

Lewis Hamilton

Monday September 29,2008

Lewis Hamilton insists there will be no change in his approach for the final three races of the season despite seeing his World Championship lead increase to seven points after his third-place finish at the historic Singapore Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver finished behind GP winner Fernando Alonso and Nico Rosberg, while championship rival Felipe Massa had to settle for 13th following drama in the pits.

"The first night race in Formula One history was great fun and I am looking forward to the forthcoming double-header in Japan and China," said Hamilton. "We will approach the next few races exactly the same as we have this one. I have no doubts we have a competitive package to compete with them (Ferrari) but without a doubt it will be a tough battle."

Two-time world champion Alonso was naturally delighted with his first victory of the season, especially after the disappointment of qualifying.

The Spaniard had gone fastest in two of the three practice sessions but then failed to progress from Q2 on Saturday when his car lost power.

"It means a lot," he said of the win.
