HAMILTON HAPPY TO MOVE ON

Lewis Hamilton

Saturday September 13,2008

Lewis Hamilton heads into Sunday's Italian Grand Prix far from disheartened at the end of what might have been a trying week.

The 23-year-old has again been thrust into the spotlight after his Belgian Grand Prix victory on Sunday was taken away from him by the stewards and instead handed to title rival Felipe Massa for 'cutting a corner and gaining an advantage'.

But the McLaren driver said: "I feel I have a great car. We will continue going down the same route we are now, continue to knock at them (Ferrari) and take points off them, and try to make sure we improve our reliability in all areas."

He added: "But to be honest, I feel like I'm coming here off a win, and just moving onto the next race.

"Normally I'd be here and you (the media) would be saying 'How does it feel? You must feel great with the momentum you have?' and that is how I feel.

"I don't feel any different to when we normally win. I don't feel at all disheartened by what happened.

"In fact, I think I've been very fortunate because I've a lot of support behind me, so I feel great.

"I know this weekend we can win, making sure we do the right job. That's what we're here to do."

Hamilton finished Friday's two practice sessions fourth behind Raikkonen, who is smiling all the way to the bank after extending his contract through to the end of the 2010 season.
