Joanne Gilbert, 47, from Abertillery, South Wales, says she will spend part of her £1,146,172  visiting Disneyland in America.

Ms Gilbert, who is single and works at the laundry of Llanfecha Grange Hospital in Cwmbran,  realised she had won when she heard her numbers  – 11, 17, 24, 28, 41, and 47 – read out during Saturday’s televised Lotto draw.

“I’ve been playing with those numbers since the lottery started. I chose them from a mixture of family birthdays,” said Mrs Gilbert, who has a son Marcus, 31, and five-year-old grandson, Rhys. “I play without fail every single week, even if it’s the last pound in my purse.”
