Spotted two years ago by Alan McGee, and with barely two singles out, Glasgow’s Glasvegas (a co-junction of Glasgow and Vegas) are touted as rock’s latest saviours. Their sound is utterly northern: epic, glacial, emotionally fraught and reverb heavy. Think Echo And The Bunnymen, Cocteau Twins and Oasis. Enjoyable enough, pity about the name.
