Barot, 34, was jailed last year after planning atrocities on both sides of the Atlantic using explosive-packed limousines and a "dirty" bomb.

Qaisar Shaffi, 28, from Willesden, north-west London, is charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause an explosion or explosions likely to endanger life.

He is also accused of possessing a record of information for terrorist purposes, namely an extract from the Terrorist Handbook.

The Crown is expected to open its case at Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday.
