Name aside, the Warhols are a band who openly advertise their influences, often with unfunny puns and in-jokes – they once called a song ‘Lou Weed’. Their sixth album sound checks Some Girls-era Stones and Talking Heads. But their refusal to overstep the boundaries of ‘good taste’, while pretending to play with notions of it, puts them beneath contempt.
