Wiping away tears, Gisele Paul spoke of her despair at the jury branding her son a drunk and speeding driver who caused his own death and those of the Princess and her lover Dodi Fayed.

Speaking at her home in Lorient, Brittany, Mrs Paul, 74, said: “I had hoped that the jury would see reason but I am really not surprised that they have condemned Henri as the other two inquiries did.

“They should have taken into consideration the statements and the evidence that showed that the tests carried out on Henri’s blood were flawed and should have been dismissed as evidence. My son was not an alcoholic and he was not drunk at the wheel of the Mercedes. The verdict of the jury is not the truth.”

had drunk 2 Ricards on duty (at least)
drove above the speed limit
in a car he was not familiar with.

Whilst I have every sympathy for his parents it is nonsense to say he was totally innocent.

tasha20 What a cruel world we live in that a man such as Henri Paul has been used as a scapegoat in the murder of Princess Diana and Dodi. There has been nothing but lies after lies regarding the death of Diana and thinking about it there never was going to be any evidence left behind by the Secret Servoce as this is what they do. They plot and plan to make sure that there is not a trace of evidence left to link them to the deed. Henri Paul's parents now have to live with knowing that their son has been blamed for something that he didn't do. I hope the people responsible get their just desserts the only sad thing about it is if and when they do we won't know about it.

this poor lady she has to live with the fact that her son has been branded a killer
he is innocent of any wrong doing he lost his life .mrs paul lost her son and now she has been given more pain to bear I hope mr alfyed carries on with his quest for the truth if he should persue the pap in a civil court then and if mrs paul could allow it vital dna from her son
