South London’s Roots Manuva is never far from his reggae origins, amply reflected here, and switching between nodding hip hop, electro-funk and clap-along soul. While standards are high and the right bases are covered, it’s seldom that you really blink. The repeating synth-horn on Again And Again, though, is absolutely inspired.
