Guns don't kill people !!! People Do !!!

Serving 22 years in forces, I like many others that handled weapons on a daily basis, have a respect for firearms. While serving a gun is just a tool to do a job, to a hardened criminal, I suspect his view is the same. To a punk in a street gang a gun is a status symbol and an object of power.

In my humble view removing weapons from registered and responsible gun owners was the biggest crime relating to guns.

Crimminals, Terrorists & any gangs related with drugs will always obtain guns, while our borders remain open. Work it out, if lorryloads of people can avoid detection so can lorry loads of weapons.

By the way one of the best ways to show kids the damage caused by guns.... Take them to the morgue show them the bodies, likewise show them the bodies of drug users that have overdosed and been left for days undiscovered. Not pretty sights, I have images in my memories that will stay with me forever.
