well some are worked into the gates of hell , we do work the longest hours but I have had to carry alot of people in the civil service who could not be bothered to turn up on a Monday, after a bank holiday, on the second of January, the cat is sick etc. The public sector is the worst which is bad for those of us who wanted as I did to make it a career , what a mistake!, I did not realise that I would be carrying lazy freeloaders when I should have been building a career. I had a social rights careworker assigned to me and everytime I rang in she was never at work and she only worked three mornings a week from 10 until 12, how the hell hours like that are worked out confounds me?. If private sector jobs were more secure, more plentiful and more rewarding then many more people who want a career would work but here in the north the public sector reigns supreme and the pub comes before getting the job done properly or at all. The South does bankroll the North believe it!!
